We all need a good starting point for our motoring needs. Bedford Bargain Motors offer that point. We have a selection of low cost motors to suit many needs, and the range will change frequently.
Bedford Bargain Motors will mostly offer vehicles with road tax, and MOT and some sort of history, as it is known to us, and will endeavour to ensure we do not offer any write offs, cut and shuts, stolen vehicles or vehicles with outstanding finance. Any vehicle without tax will be taxed, for 6 or 12 months, at the purchasers request and at current prices. We may offer vehicles with minor damage, and these will be accompanied with an occurrence explanation, full description and likely cost of repair. The asking price will reflect any missing tax, MOT, or such damage.
Bedford Bargain Motors are an intermediary, selling on behalf of others, and offers no guarantee as to future reliability, as it must be understood that some additional unknown work may be required due to ongoing wear and tear. All vehicles will be checked to ensure their immediate satisfaction but all vehicles will be 'sold as seen' and must be thouroughly checked by the purchaser. This does not affect your statuatory rights.
Learner Drivers: Need a motor to start learning in? Did you know you can actually own your own car from day one? You can buy it and insure it even if you are a learner. You simply ask a qualified driver, over 21 and with at least 3 years driving experience, to be your sponsor and add you as a named driver on their policy. This will allow you to drive your own car, with a qualified driver sitting with you, for as many hours practice as you want. With some insurance companies you will even start earning your own 'No Claims Bonus'.
New Drivers: Just passed your test? Want your own first Car, but have a tight budget? Did you know that the biggest mistake most new drivers make is to buy a small, sporty car that costs the earth to insure? Why not go the sensible route and buy a cheap banger, insure it third party only, and drive it for a few months, and then upgrade. This way you will have your own car to drive, it won't matter if you have a few knocks, and you will start earning 'No Claims Bonus', thus reducing your eventual insurance costs.
First Time Buyers: Unless you are really OK for cash it can be difficult to buy an upmarket car, or to get finance to support its' purchase. Why not buy a cheap banger outright to start, and plan to keep it for the first year. Ask how much a finance plan would have cost you and save a percentage towards your next purchase. In a years time you can then use your existing car as a part exchange for the car of your choice.
Upgraders: Come and look at our range of Value motors. We may not have exactly what you want but we may have something that catches your eye. With our extremely good value for money you could save up to 50% off the cost of a motor elsewhere.
Part Exchangers: We do not promise to take any motor in part exchange, but we may be interested in yours. Why not bring it along for evaluation and see if you can offset a goodly proportion of the cost of any of our motors that take your fancy.
Finance: For those of you looking to upgrade, or to buy that "Special" motor, we have a range of finance options open to all. This includes standard loans for regular buyers, and secured loans if you intend to buy something special.

Purchase Payment
Cash or Cheque: We will require cash for your purchase, if you want to take the vehicle away with you on the day of purchase. We will accept cheque payments, but will only release the vehicle once the funds are clear in our bank account. If you want to pay by cheque we will require a non returnable payment of 20% of the purchase price in cash, to secure the vehicle. This will be valid for seven days, which should be sufficient for the cheque to clear, after which time we reserve the right to re-sell the vehicle.
Lay Away: We can offer a lay away service but this will be operated strictly on our terms. We will require a 50% non-returnable cash or cheque deposit and payment in full over an agreed period of time, to secure the vehicle. No lay away term will exceed 6 months, for a specific vehicle, after which time we reserve the right to re-sell the vehicle. All stage payments will be returned if the vehicle is re-sold.
Paypal: Payment by Paypal can be accepted, but this will attract a 25% deposit in cash and a 5% surcharge to cover costs and the log book, and mot certificate will be retained for 30 days to underwrite your purchase.
Savings Plan: We are pleased to offer an unconditional savings plan. You may pay us any amount you want, for any period of time. This money will be held in a bank account on your behalf until you decide you have enough to purchase your required vehicle.
